Kick off meeting in Brussels  within the new Erasmus+ Project Establishing Master Programmes in HRM and Talent Development in Central Asia / TALENT 598690-EPP-1-2018-1-BE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP

 

On 11-15 Feb, 2019, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel hosted a kick off meeting in the frame of new Erasmus+ Project Establishing Master Programmes in HRM and Talent Development in Central Asia / TALENT where all project partners participated.

The newly launched project has the following objectives:

(1) To retrain teachers from 7 CA universities in 8 HRM related courses. The CA teachers will be made deeper acquainted with EU HRM research and practice. Mainly, the 4 teachers from each partner university will develop syllabi and introductory texts to their courses. In the margin of the project, they will be stimulated to set up research in HRM.

(2) To establish 7 accredited master programmes in “HRM and Talent Development” (TALENT). The programme will be oriented towards giving students a background in HRM that enables them to scientifically analyse an organisation and to set up methods for improving both the situation of employees and the economic efficiency of the organisation.

(3) To make an informal network of EU and CA teachers. Within the project, CA teachers working on the same or similar courses will come together in workgroups and HRM workshops with the EU teachers.

During the Kick-off meeting following tasks on agenda were discussed: project work packages, general format of the curriculum, development of the syllabi, agreement on project workshops, project financial and administrative issues.

The consortiums consist of 11 EU and CA partner universities:

  3. Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge, Bulgaria
  4. Athens University of Economics and Business – Research Center, Greece
  5. Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan

  7. Innovative University of Eurasia, Kazakhstan
  8. Bukhara State University, Uzbekistan
  9. Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
  10. American University of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan
  11. Kyrgyz Economic University, Kyrgyzstan
